Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology

The need for academic and scholarly research can not be ignored and underestimated. Journals are a good source of sharing research among colleagues and peers. There is shortage of academic and scholarly journals in the field of Applied & Professional Psychology in Pakistan. Therefore, the society has decided to launch its own journal entitled “Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology”. The journal will be published biannually. Send your articles at jpap@pkps.org
 
Aims & Scope
The Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology is an academic & scholarly, peer reviewed biannual journal committed to advance the science and discipline of Psychology. The Journal of Professional & Applied Psychology accepts empirical articles, case studies, review articles, methodological, theoretical articles and qualitative articles relevant to all areas of professional and applied psychology. We encourage articles from around the world.
Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts are initially evaluated by the managing editor. If found relevant, manuscripts are then subject to independent and anonymous peer review by two referees. After review, the decision to publish the manuscript is made.

  • To keep transparency and quality in research publication, authors should adhere to the following:

    • Author(s) should clearly mention their full name, institutional affiliation, email address. If there is more than one author, their names should appear in a sequence following their contribution in the research.
    • All the interested authors should follow the guidelines outlined in 6th edition of APA Publication Manual to write an article. The articles not following the APA style guidelines should be returned to authors without consideration.
    • The authors should send the plagiarism report of the article alongwith the submission. The content of the article is responsibility of the author(s). The Editorial Board of the journal do not accept any responsibility in this regard.
    • The copyrights of the article belong to journal after publication.
    • Authors should clearly mention any conflict of interest.
    • Authors should clearly mention any source(s) of funding involved in the research.
    • Authors should clearly mention a statement about ethical consideration(s) and permission involved.
    • Any acknowledgement should clearly be mentioned.
    • Author(s) are instructed to keep the data with them till the time, manuscript is published.
    • The authors will be required to sign an agreement giving consent to publish their research article in Journal of Professional and Applied Psychology.
    • The Managing Editor has the right to reject the manuscript if during the review process; the author(s) fail to conform to the suggestions of the reviewer(s). Letter of Acceptance is issued only after review is finalized and a decision to publish the manuscript has been made.

    Generally, it may take upto 4 to 8 weeks in the review process, so author(s) are requested to be patient about the outcome of review process.
    The Journal will be abstracted and indexed after the publication of its 1st issue of 1st volume in international abstracting and indexing services.
